A lo mejor no todo el mundo se puede permitir lo de las sneakers para ir a trabajar...Sólo tienes que sustituirlas por unos stilettos negros o botines de tacón y solucionado. Si no, guarda las ideas para el próximo finde! En este look llevo tres de mis tendencias preferidas para este invierno: el camuflaje, los macro-collares y las zapatillas de caña alta con cuña interior. Digo cuatro! Se me olvidaron los labios rojos mate. Mis pantalones son de Zara, camiseta de Alexander Wang (las colecciono, ésta es del año pasado), chaqueta-abrigo de lana de CH Carolina Herrera del año pasado también, collar de la colección de Anna Dello Russo para H&M y sneakers de la marca americana Steve Madden (en España Hakei las tiene muy parecidas.)

I'm concious that not everybody can wear sneakers to work... for those who can't, just change them for a pair of black stilettos or high heel booties and you are good to go! You can also save the ideas to create a weekend look. In this outfit I am wearing three of my favourite trends for the season: camouflage pants, mega-necklaces and hidden wedge sneakers. Actually I'm wearing four: I forgot the red matte lips! My pants are Zara, Alexander Wang muscle tee (I collect them, this one is from last year), knit coat from CH Carolina Herrera, Anna Dello Russo for H&M necklace and Steve Madden sneakers.

J Crew & Vogue, Chicago

 

Salí corriendo de trabajar, llegué a casa, me cambié los zapatos, añadí un collar gigante, me re-pinté los labios en color vino tinto y otra vez pa´fuera, pa´la calle (como diría Celia Cruz). Me voy derecha al evento de J.Crew, una tienda americana que estoy empezando a descubrir y aunque tirando a  “preppy”, esta temporada han dado un giro muy trendy a todas sus piezas básicas.
No me puedo creer que Chicago me haya regalado un día de verano en mitad del ya empezado invierno para lucir mis sandalias de terciopelo violeta (Gucci) con mi pantalón granate de Zara que no me canso de ponerme.

Mi jefa era la anfitriona del evento organizado por J.Crew y Vogue para presentar la nueva colección otoño/fiesta (ya nos acercamos a la navidad). El diseñador jefe de la colección de mujer, Tom Mora también estaba allí y le encantó cómo me quedaba el abrigo que tengo en la foto. Se acercó y me lo dijo!!

A Brittany (mi compañera) y a mí nos gustaron millones de cosas, como siempre, pero fue la bisutería lo que más nos llamó la atención. Ahora que sólo pienso en collares gigantes con piedras y brillos… no me podía despegar de la vitrina…los quiero todos.

I ran out of the office, came home, changed my shoes, added a huge necklace, fixed my red wine color lipstick and ran out again to J.Crew´s event. This is a store that I am actually just starting to discover and although it´s a little preppy (no offense), they are doing an amazing job revamping their classic pieces.

I still can't believe Chicago gifted me with a summer day when the winter had already started! I got to wear my beloved violet velvet Gucci sandals and my burgundy or ox blood (this is the trendy way of describing the color now) Zara pants that I can´t get enough of.

My boss, Melissa Skoog, was one of the hostesses´ of the event organized by J.Crew and Vogue with Tom Mora, Head of Women’s design to celebrate the fall/holiday 2012 collection. He approached me while trying on the coat and told me he absolutely loved it!!Me too...

Brittany and I liked a lot of things, as usual, but we just couldn´t stop staring at the beautiful jewelry collection they have in-store right now. Everything in the shadow case was just gorgeous! Since lately all I can think of are huge necklaces…I wanted to buy them all!

Treasure Series: Adri's Edition

These trusty red boots have been part of my closet for longer than I can remember . They're so old the label has worn off and the tips are all scuffed up. Yet, I refuse to get rid of them. Just wearing them puts a smile to my face and add's an unexpected 'pop' to my outfit. With a smile on my face and an extra dose of confidence for the day, there's a pep in my step cause nothing gets between my trusty red boots. Estas botas rojas han sido parte de mi armario más tiempo casi del que recuerdo. Eran tan viejas cuando las compré en una tienda vintage que ya no se veía ni la marca y las puntas estaban todas comidas. Con todo y con eso, me niego a deshacerme de ellas. No sé por qué, el sólo hecho de ponérmelas me pone de buen humor y me da una dosis extra de confianza para el resto del día. Voy pisando fuerte con mis queridísimas botas rojas. Typically Unpredictable

 

Here in Chicago, people are welcoming the fashion celebrations of autumn with cozy knit sweaters, dresses with boots, and blazers as coats.  But we also like to keep it realistic. Just yesterday we were all enjoying a cozy 70° fall day and then the temperature dropped and reminded us that old man winter is just around the corner. My husband might say I’m exaggerating a bit. 

 

En Chicago. la gente está dando la bienvenida al otoño con jerseys de punto gordo, vestidos con botas y blazers en vez de abrigos. Pero también tenemos que ser realistas. Ayer teníamos una temperatura estupenda de 19 grados, típica de un día de otoño. Pero de repente dió un bajón para recordarnos que el invierno está a la vuelta de la esquina. Mi marido me dirá que exagero un poco pero bueno.

Typically, when the weather drops so unexpectedly low in October, all I can think is keeping warm. Admittedly, I’m a black coat type of girl, a problem I’m trying to fix this season. But that doesn’t mean I don’t like my fashion sense to shine through; this is where a bright scarf comes in place. Just like a lipstick (read about my obsession here) a bright scarf has the capacity to not only add some panache to your outfit; it can also dramatically brighten your face while still keeping you warm. Look for a print or color that complements your skin. I do believe it’s a must have piece for every woman out there…at least those who live in unpredictable weather!

Cada vez que la temperatura baja de manera inesperada en Octubre en lo único que pienso es en como no pasar frío. Honestamente, soy de las de abrigo negro y punto, pero eso es algo que estamos intentando cambiar aquí en Panache esta temporada. Que siempre tire por un abrigo negro, no significa que no permita que mi amor por la moda se refleje de vez en cuando; y es aquí cuando entra en juego la bufanda. Al igual que un pintalabios, una bufanda colorida además de añadi panache a todods tus looks, iluminará tu cara de repente y te mantendrá calentita. Busca un color o un estampado que vaya con tu tono de piel. Esta pieza es un must para todas las mujeres ahí fuera... por lo menos para aquellas que viven en una ciudad con tiempo impredecible!

(I'm in love with the bag!)

Con estos pelos (me llovió encima todo el camino) y sin fuerzas tras un día duro, decidí acercarme a H&M a ver si todavía quedaba algo. Anna Dello Russo, ex editora jefe de Vogue Japón y fashionista consagrada, lanzaba su primera colección de joyas para la casa sueca y yo no podía perdérmelo. Todo muy acorde a su estilo, pulseras de animales salvajes, pendientes y collares enormes y brillantes, clutches con piedras incrustadas... 

Pocas veces me verán a mi con mucho adorno (salvo mi eterno brazo izquierdo lleno de pulseras), pero tenía que llevarme algo. Además es uno de los cambios que me he propuesto para este otoño, añadir maxi collares que imiten joyería a mis outfits. Lo veo en las fotos de streetstyle y me encanta pero me cuesta incorporarlo. Mi propuesta, cuanto más simple el look más fácil: jeans, camiseta y mega collar. La última foto...el elegido.

I was tired and it was raining but I couldn´t miss it! Anna Dello Russo, former Editor-in-Chief of  Vogue Japan, launched her jewelry collection for H&M. So, even though I had no hope of finding anything left, I decided to check it out after work. And I was wrong, yayy!
There were still a lot of things to choose from. At the beginning I wanted everything but all the bracelets were huge on me so I turned my attention towards the necklaces. As you can tell from my pictures, I ´m not a jewelry girl and less so if they are shinny and blingy but it is one of the things that I've decided to add to my wardrobe: jeans, t-shirt and a huge necklace...it´s a trend and I´m loving it.

Colonel Mustard

Read the magazines and ask the editors - the color of the season is burgundy wine oxblood. It’s a great color and surely you're seeing a lot of why to buy it and way's to wear it. But we've got to be ready for an alternative when it has overstayed its welcome. So I've turned to the color mustard as my new Autumn color.

This hue typically re-surfaces every fall; one can almost call it a classic. Personally I have a love/hate relationship with it. Love because I’m just completely enamored with it; hate because I can never find the right shade that goes with my skin tone. But this year I’m determined to conquer it. So after trying on many shades of the condiment color, I think I finally figured out the trick. Tip: The most saturated hues are best left to tan skin or naturally dark with warm undertones, a more yellow mustard looks good on medium skin (that’s me), and a more orange mustard goes best with cool skin tones. Worst comes to worst, if you can’t figure out what hue looks best against you skin, go for a mustard bottom or accessories like a clutch. This season I’ve added a dress, hat, and the blazer to my closet. I should be covered.

Lo pone en todas las revistas - el color de la temporada es el vino o para traducirlo exactamente, su nuevo nombre es "sangre de buey".  Oye, que nos encanta el color y más ahora que leemos por todas partes por qué comprarlo y cómo combinarlo. Pero les he preparado una alternativa para cuando estemos mareadas de tanto vino. Así que he puesto toda mi atención en el mostaza como mi nuevo color de otoño.

No es que sea una novedad, aparece todo los otoños de alguna manera; es casi un clásico. Yo tengo una relación amor/odio con él. Por un lado estoy totalmente enamorada del color; por otro, lo odio porque no hay manera de encontrar justo el tono que quiero y que vaya con mi color de piel. Pero este año me he propuesto conseguirlo. Después de probarme todas las tonalidades del color de los condimentos, creo que le cogí el truco. Los tonos más puros y vibrantes le van a bien a las pieles oscuras y morenas. Los tonos más amarillos, le van bien a las pieles medias (esa soy yo!) y los más anaranjados le van mejor a las pieles más claras. Y si no eres capaz de averiguar qué color exactamente va con tu piel, simplemente apuesta por incorporarlo en tus partes de abajo o accesorios y así funciona siempre. Yo este año me he decantado por un vestido, un sombrero y una chaqueta. Creo que estoy cubierta.
