Emerald
The global authority of color has proclaimed it the color of the year. Radiant, jewel toned Emerald that promotes balance and harmony. Emerald is sophisticated and luxurious, it's the color of growth, renewal and prosperity.
"Green is the most abundant hue in nature- the human eye sees more green than any other color of the spectrum" says Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. " As it has through history, multifaceted Emerald continues to sparkle and fascinate. Symbolically, Emerald brings a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation, which is so important in today's complex world.

Anything else you need to know? Go and get "something" green (you'll use it through the winter too) and make your closet REBIRTH.

Mid-riffs everywhere
The mid-riff trend has been bouncing around in my head since last year, but it hasn't been until this summer that I've really made it mine. From day to night there is a sexiness about it that lets it stand on its own. I'll admit that it took me a while to find the perfect little tricks to make it a versatile look, so I hope they help you too:
1) The bottom always has to be high-waisted whether it's a skirt, short or pants.
2) The trend is to just show the mid-riff so make sure that the belly button is not exposed
3) To go from day to night wear a loose crop top that adds ease to the look like the one I wore with the palm tree skirt and the leather one. They are both from American Apparel.
4) If the bottom has volume to it such as the white skirt or my wide-leg navy pants, stick to a fitted top or bra-let to create balance.

4 of July... and the sun just won't come out. But it's already time for the summer dresses, mini skirts and shorts and of course to show some leg. But how pale are they?

Absolutely everything and anything looks good when you are tan. And based on this Iuris et de Iure presumption (which means that there is no contrary proof possible) I must quote Maquiavelo by saying that sometimes, the end justifies the means.
Those like me who have always refused to have any type of fake tan are about to change their mind. Two weeks ago, when I first tried the self tanning line of St. Tropez I declared myself inmediately hooked. They have it all: no strong smell, great price and a beautiful golden halo that lights up anything.
Beginners TRICKS:
- I am very conservative in its use for now, and I mix it up with my face and body moisturizer respectively.
- In the store they recommended me to buy the mousse but I honestly think it's harder to not make a mistake, at least at first so I decided to buy just the lotion and to take it step by step.
- I use it every 3 days and my last purchase was the big bottle of the Self Tan Bronzing Lotion (I recommend to buy the mitt with this one). Now that I am comfortable using it, I'll use my Self Tan Lotion once a week and then maintain it with the Gradual Tan.

Boho De Luxe
{ Photos by Jung}
This year my first guilty pleasure of the season was this long snake print dress. And I say guilty pleasure because aside from the two long dresses that I bought for two weddings (and that never made it out of my closet again), this is the only long dress I own.

The New Boho is sleek and sophisticated. Silk maxi dresses bring us back to the casual spirit of the 70's (I've mentioned that I love this several times), but now keep an elegant allure. So make sure you look hip as opposed to hippie and always add modern more refined accessories.
For the day I chose a clean cut tote and hot pink suede wedges based on the hues of my dress (royal blue would also be a great choice, just in case anyone has those in their wardrobe already...). For a more party/night look I changed the wedges for sandals and the tote for a clutch. For those who read Panache, they already know gold accessories are always a winning option.
